Transforming Yards into Thriving Gardens

Edible Gardens for Homes & Businesses.
Beautiful Spaces. Real Food. No Guesswork.

Ralstead Foodscapes – Problem & Solution

You Want the Convenience,
the Health Benefits, the Taste.

There's something deeply satisfying about stepping into your own backyard and harvesting dinner. Fresh food, grown by your hands, on your terms. The health benefits are undeniable. The taste? Incomparable. And the quiet pride of knowing exactly where your food comes from — that's a feeling you can't buy at a grocery store.

More and more families are choosing to grow their own food. Not just because it's good for the body, but because it's good for the soul — and for the planet.

You Want to Grow Your Own Food… But.

  • You're not sure where to even begin
  • Your yard feels more overwhelming than inspiring
  • You don't have time to research, plan, and figure it all out
  • You want something that looks beautiful, not like a neglected patch

You care about your family's health.
You care about living more sustainably.
You want to do things differently — but you need a guide.

You don't have to figure this out alone.
I offer free discovery calls.

Book a Consult

The Journey to Your Dream Garden Starts Here

Every great garden begins the same way, with a conversation. From there, we build a path that fits exactly what you need. First, I start with a complimentary call to dig into your goals, talk through your challenges, and start imagining what your outdoor space could really become.

Consultation

This is where everything begins. We'll walk your property together, explore what you'd like to grow, and talk through your vision, your pain points, and start mapping out what your outdoor space could really become. It's a low-pressure, genuinely useful conversation grounded in your real space.

We begin with a full site analysis, assessing your climate, geography, and existing infrastructure, so your foodscape is designed for your specific space and lifestyle, not just what looks good on paper.

Following your visit, you'll receive a written brief with notes from our time together, a summary of your goals and recommendations, and a custom design quote with options built around the way you want to live and grow.

Initial consultation fee: $175

Design • Plan •Install

Every project comes with a custom landscape plan: an aerial view of your outdoor space overlaid with your personalized design, showing structures and permanent features.

You will receive a seasonal planting guide with region-specific recommendations and a quick-reference calendar to take the guesswork out of soil prep, planting, care, and harvest. And a sourcing guide with a curated list of materials and products from trusted vendors, so you know exactly what to get and where.

When it's time to build, we offer in-house installation for select projects, or we collaborate with our network of skilled contractors, or yours. Throughout the process, we provide project management and conduct site visits to keep things on track, make adjustments as needed, and ensure every detail is built to plan.

Coaching & Support

Great gardens don't happen by accident, and neither does the knowledge behind them. Ralstead's coaching program is rooted in the belief that every gardener, at every stage, deserves practical, personalized support.

Through expert advice and practical strategies, I will help you build the knowledge to grow a thriving garden. Our goal is to help you create a space that reflects your vision and connects to the surrounding ecosystem.

Whether you've inherited an overgrown yard and don't know where to begin, or you're ready to deepen the productivity and health of what you've already built.

Practical, personalized, and rooted in real experience. We'll work through your specific challenges, sharpen your skills, and help your garden grow alongside your life, season after season.

Ralstead Foodscapes was born from a simple desire: to share knowledge and empower others to grow their own food with confidence. Everything I have learned—from generous mentors, hands-on experience, and years of trial and error—I now pass on to help you create a thriving, productive landscape. Whether you're planting native species, starting an herb garden, welcoming pollinators, keeping chickens, or designing a complete edible ecosystem, I'm here to guide you. My goal is to make food growing accessible and achievable, so you can enjoy the rewards of a self-sustaining yard that nourishes both you and the environment.
